ALPHA is very happy to announce 
that a Volunteers Group is being established!

Wednesday, the 18th of April 2012, a small group of eight started this adventure, in order to support ALPHA’s strategy plan 2012 – 2013. The President of ALPHA, Albert, and the Program Development Advisor Marc, organized this event with the objective of presenting the association to the new-comers and to identify the specific interests and capacities of each participant. Thanks to Nina, Sahar, Jad, Matthieu, Annette, Mirva, Abeer, Adnan, Hanane, Muriel and Sanna the event was a success. Meeting point: the historic Papachoux restaurant in Badaro (who we thank for its kind welcome).

A second meeting was held on Wednesday, the 25th April 2012 at Café Sho (an important supporter of ALPHA as a disseminator of information on our association and for the selling of our greeting cards!).
The main issues discussed were centered on the specific needs of ALPHA in this period, especially for what concerns fundraising:  
- the contacting of firms & particular donors
- the organization of concrete events for fundraising
- the handling of the communication tools (especially the social media, such as FB, Twitter, blog, etc), but also of the newsletter.

The next meetings will be organized around the specific time schedules of all volunteers involved, and communication will be improved between the participants in order to coordinate effectively.
Tasks will be assigned to each volunteer, especially for what concerns the areas of communication and events organization in Beirut.


Now we’re looking forward to the Kermesse, next Sunday the 29th of April and hope to see you all there! 

Let’s consolidate this new group and grow together!
