A Thank You Lunch in the ALPHA Tibnine Library

Following the great success of the ALPHA kermesse which took place on the 29th of April, ALPHA decided to thank all UNIFIL components who kindly supported our initiative with a lunch at our Tibnine library. THANK YOU ALL for helping us in pursuing our goals for the benefit of all ALPHA kids!

- Confidence & Partnership: ALPHA events in Tebnine could not take place without our 100 volunteers force rooted in the community.
- Engagement & Continuity: in 2012, ALPHA continues to help children in the South of Lebanon, within a region where conflict is still part of the daily life.
- Solidarity, Conviviality & Responsibility: in 2006, ALPHA managed to put in place a coherent needs assessment in 17 villages of the South for the organization of food distribution, relying on the Lebanese “aouni” system.
- Emergency & Sustainability: in case of security incidents, ALPHA collaborates with the Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense units, as well as the local social centers in order to protect children.
- Plurality & Openness: ALPHA’s team is strong because it relies on a fruitful exchange between men/ women, Christian/ Muslim, Palestinian/ Lebanese, integrating harmoniously into the community.
- Creativity & Clear Thinking: ALPHA’s activities are adapted to the peculiar, local environment, with a constant attention for the safety of children.
