ALPHA Mission

To increase communities’ awareness on the Convention of the Right of the Child
To give children and parents access to concrete integration tools in regards to their social, cultural, physical and educational environment

To work towards the integration of all identified opposites such as: War/Peace, Child/Child, Child/Parent, Teacher/Student, Confession/Confession, Boys/Girls, Individual/Group,
Generation/Generation, Village/Village

To allow all participants (children, parents, ALPHA Team and the community by and large) to fully benefit from the activities of the 5 centers

Acting for change
- Confidence & Partnership: ALPHA events in Tebnine could not take place without our 100 volunteers force rooted in the community.
- Engagement & Continuity: in 2012, ALPHA continues to help children in the South of Lebanon, within a region where conflict is still part of the daily life.
- Solidarity, Conviviality & Responsibility: in 2006, ALPHA managed to put in place a coherent needs assessment in 17 villages of the South for the organization of food distribution, relying on the Lebanese “aouni” system.
- Emergency & Sustainability: in case of security incidents, ALPHA collaborates with the Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense units, as well as the local social centers in order to protect children.
- Plurality & Openness: ALPHA’s team is strong because it relies on a fruitful exchange between men/ women, Christian/ Muslim, Palestinian/ Lebanese, integrating harmoniously into the community.
- Creativity & Clear Thinking: ALPHA’s activities are adapted to the peculiar, local environment, with a constant attention for the safety of children.
